We provide extremely effective and aggressive legal representation in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Criminal Defense, Wills and Trusts as well as federal Bankruptcy.

For years our office has provided excellent representation for thousands of clients. It is a necessity that you as a client are comfortable with your attorney. That is the true strength of the firm.

Family Law
The Family Code is a state law which addresses a comprehensive area of law including:

Marriage Dissolutions (Divorces), Legal Separations, Marriage Annulments, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Marvin (Cohabitation) Agreements, Paternity Actions, Domestic Violence Proceedings, Child and/or Spousal Support Modifications, Custody/Visitation Matters, etc.

In each case (as with legal proceedings generally) the resolution of these issues can be accomplished either by settlement or by litigation (or by default). The emotional nature of Family Law cases requires that experienced counsel encourage parties to at least entertain settlement (to minimize legal expenses) while they prepare (and be prepared) for litigation if necessary.

Personal Injury
After an accident, preserve the facts. Get information from the other driver, including the insurance company information. Get the names and address of any witnesses, this is particularly important, as they may soon leave once they find out that the people involved are not severely injured. Review your insurance coverage, you may have automobile insurance, health policies, and uninsured motorist policies. You need to know about some traps. We can help you with this process.

Workers Compensation

Medical treatment to treat your injury;
Temporary disability compensation to replace your lost wages while off work recovering from your injury;
Vocational rehabilitation financial assistance, counseling, and training if you cannot return to your job held when injured;
A cash award or settlement to compensate you for a loss in strength, ability or competitive capacity in the future;
Lifetime medical coverage for long term conditions or problems you may face in the future.

Wills and Trusts
Without a will, your case must go to the probate court. You must post a bond for the entire value of your estate. A probate without a will can run anywhere from nine months to two years. Without a will, the state picks who gets what percentage of your estate.

We can prepare a will for you today so that you can waive costly bonds. You can designate those people who will manage your estate when you pass away, and you can designate who will receive gifts or amounts of money. This can cut your probate down to six months to a year by having a will.

Living Trusts are now necessary for most people living in Orange County. A living trust will bypass the use of the court, attorney fees and court cost, which probate requires. Probate fees in the state of California, for a person with a house and few assets, can run between $4500 to $25,000. They could even be higher.

A living trust will bypass the probate court and bypass the expenses of the bonds, executor’s and probate attorneys. Living trusts are almost like having your private corporation, which you run yourself. When you die, your assets stills belong to the living trust, only managers take over your assets for you, as you have designated. Call today to make an appointment to help with your strategic planning of a will or living trust so that you take control of how your money is spent, and how much time it takes to get your assets to your loved one’s upon your death.

Bankruptcy
The Bankruptcy Code is a federal law which provides debtors with a federal right to a fresh financial start. Different Chapters of the Bankruptcy Code provide different remedies to different debtors. Consumer debtors generally obtain their fresh financial start from either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.

We understand that no reasonable person wants to hire a lawyer with an open ended fee agreement at "X" dollars per hour. And it is for this reason that we will give you an assessment of charges before we begin. Frequently, we can provide legal services on a flat fee basis.
